Incomplete bladder emptying refers to the sensation that the bladder has not fully emptied after urination. This may be followed by the need to return to the restroom shortly after or a feeling of residual fullness.
This symptom is often associated with obstruction of urine flow, commonly due to an enlarged prostate (BPH). It may also be related to reduced bladder function or coordination.
Over time, incomplete emptying may lead to increased urinary frequency, discomfort, or a higher risk of urinary tract infections due to residual urine remaining in the bladder.
If this sensation is persistent or worsening, it may be important to evaluate the underlying cause and determine whether further management is needed.
